A bright spot with all of the cancellations this week because of the weather was having the Orange Krewe of Krewes Royal Court visit area schools to promote the parade on Saturday that is scheduled to start at 6pm.
Lead by this year’s King and Queen, Bob and Sherry Stalnaker, the Court visited WOS Elementary, North Early Learning Center, St. Mary Catholic School, Bridge City Elementary, Little Cypress Christian Academy, Little Cypress Elementary, LC Intermediate, and Mauriceville Elementary. They also visited the Lutcher Theater Thursday night before the start of Chicago the Musical.
Mardi Gras music and beads filled the hallways and auditoriums along with an invitation to join us on the parade route in downtown Orange that starts and ends at the Orange Boat Ramp.
