After two seasons in Bridge City, Cody McGuire has resigned as the Athletic Director/Head Football Coach of the Cardinals.
McGuire was 4-6 in his first season and 1-9 his second season that was filled with many injuries. By the end of the season the Cards had used four different quarterbacks.
McGuire told KOGT that he appreciated the support he received during his time at Bridge City. McGuire has a daughter graduating from BCHS this year and she will be attending Texas Tech, which is where Coach McGuire played college ball.
Head Baseball Coach Chad Landry will be the interim football coach this season as a search begins. He will still be the head baseball coach according to Supt. Mike Kelly.
This is a developing story.
