Mary R. Berlinger, age 92 of Orange, Texas passed away at her home on Friday, December 24, 2021. Private services will be held by the family with an interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Mary was born in Pueblo, Colorado on April 26, 1929 to parents Flora Rael and Joseph Adonagos Rael. She was one of eight children. Mary moved to Orange, Texas in 1969 and had been a faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church until her health started to decline in the last few years. She loved to crotchet beautiful blankets for everyone. Mary will always be remembered for our cooking and her wonderful tamales that she gave as Christmas presents. She loved all of her four legged companions, especially her lil’ Chihuahua “Honey” and her cat Sweetie. Mary will be greatly missed by all that she impacted with her kind and loving spirit.
She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Charles “Jake” Berlinger, in 2004, son Jeffery Karl Berlinger, and parents, Joseph and Flora Rael.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Troy Berlinger and his wife Maria of Orange, TX and Vickie Lynn Cole of Welsh, LA, eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their gratitude for the wonderful loving care and support during Mary’s final days from Altus Hospice.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Cancer Research Fund.
