Orange County deputies Tuesday evening arrested a suspect in the armed robbery of the Mauriceville Family Pharmacy. Sheriff’s Investigator Janois Grizzaffi said 42-year-old Thomas Lane Marshall of rural North Orange County was arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He was also arrested on a warrant from Jefferson County to revoke probation on a forgery conviction.
Grizzaffi said charges of aggravated robbery are expected to be filed today.
A knife-wielding man robbed the pharmacy of prescription medications at 1:40 Tuesday afternoon. No one was hurt. Employees said the robber drove away in a small silver car and they recorded the license plate number.
Grizzaffi said Marshall did not own the car.
Marshall is in the Orange County Jail at this time. A $5,000 bond was set on the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. The charge of motion to revoke probation has a hold with no bond allowed.
