
Margaritte Raymond “T-Bo” Brittain, of Little Cypress, passed away on March 18, 2016 in Mauriceville, at the age of 90.
Margaritte was born on September 30, 1925 in Shelbyville, Texas to parents Ozelar (Anderson) and Clamond Jesse Raymond. She had lived in Orange for 69 years, prior in Shelbyville, Texas. She was a homemaker who helped raise a loving, close-knit family. Margaritte enjoyed cooking, fishing, gardening, quilting, and canning food. Margaritte was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend; who loved spending time with her family and will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ozelar and Clamond Raymond; husband Terrell Olen “T.O.” Brittain; two sisters and five brothers.
Margaritte is survived by her companion of over 10 years, Donald T. Welch; daughter, Shirley Craft and husband, David of Little Cypress, TX; sons, Lester Brittain and wife, Yvonne of Orange, TX, Terrell Brittain and wife, Bee Bee of Orange, TX; sister, Lamurel Willey and husband, Henry Lee of Mauricville, TX. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and six great great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2016 in the chapel of Dorman Funeral Home from 5pm to 9pm, with a funeral service on March 21, 2016 at 11am at Dorman Funeral Home. Officiating will be Kevin Brown. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hills Cemetery near Huxley, Texas after the service on Monday at 3:30pm. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Dorman Funeral Home. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to River City Hospice and all of the caring nurses that came by to treat and comfort Margaritte.
Honoring her as pallbearers will be Lester Olen Brittain, Dean Brittain, Jason Brittain, Terrell Edward Brittain, Andrew Longron, Lane Brittain, Collin Hill, and David Bergeron.
