Margaret was born on June 3, 1967, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to parents Rosabelle (Marcantel) and Hilton Blanchard. She was a Christian woman of the Catholic faith and had been a resident of Orange, Texas, for most of her adult life. Margaret was known for being a loving woman with a big heart, but most importantly was known for the being the “best Mimi ever”! She enjoyed the times she was able to spend with family, and when she could hunt, and fish, with her loving husband, David Smith. Margaret was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, who will be missed by all who knew her.
Preceding Margaret in death are her parents, Hilton and Rosabelle Blanchard.
Margaret is survived by her husband of three years, David Smith, of Orange, Texas; daughter, Lana Murphy and husband, Blake, of Bridge City, Texas; sons, Jake Christian and wife, Elizabeth, of McKinney, Texas, Eric Christian, Jr. and wife, Jessica, of McKinney, Texas; brother, Randy Blanchard; sisters, Tammy Landry, Sue Achten, Cassie Savoie, Dot Vogel, and Salley Murphy; grandchildren, Jake Christian, Jr., Gage Christian, Cheyenne Christian, Peyton Murphy, Maddox Murphy, Hannah Murphy, and Landry Christian; godchild, Hunter Blanchard; and numerous members of extended family and friends.
