
Marcos Abrego Jr. 82, of San Antonio Texas, passed away on Thursday Oct 17th 2024 at his home after several years of illness.
Born in Orange TX on May 15th 1942. He was the son of Marcos Abrego Sr & Cenovia Garza Abrego.
After serving our country in the United States Marine Corp (Ooohrah) Marcos started working for Gulf Oil and retired in 1993 from Chevron Phillips. Marcos spent a good bit of his retirement volunteering at the YMCA in Port Arthur counseling young adults. Every year until he could no longer ride, his bike club participated in the Blue Santa Toy Drive.
He was proceeded in death by his parents Marcos and Cenovia Abrego, his daughter Pamela Boucher, Grandson Danial Abrego, and Great Grandson Vaydon Abrego,
Siblings Bernard Abrego, Edward Abrego, and Emma Prince, and nephews Brent Abrego, and Robert Smith.
He was survived by his daughters Norma Tejeda and Marie Dempsey. His sons Raymond and Jerry Abrego. The mother of his children Dorothy Abrego. Along with his siblings,
Sister’s: Julia Smith, Christine Wolford, Linda Wolford, Sally Perry, Bert Lafleur, and Rebecca Lanter.
Brothers: Johnny, David, and Vincent Abrego. Along with numerous grand, great, and great great grandkids.
A Celebration of his life and and event to pay respects will be held Saturday Nov 2nd 2024 from 1pm-4pm at Calvary Baptist Church in West Orange.
