It’s been a long time since we’ve had two athletes named Player of the Week but we just can’t pick one. And it may be a first that they come from the same team.
They’ve been doing it all season but they turned it up a notch Friday night. Our KOGT Players of the Week sponsored by Team Granger are Mason Manning and Kaleb Menard of Orangefield.
Manning went over the 1000 mark for the season with 228 yds. on just 17 carries and 4 TD’s vs. Kirbyville. He’s averaging almost 9 ypc this season!
Menard also had a monster game on the defensive side of the ball. He had 19 tackles, 3 sacks, a scoop and score from 85 yds. and he blocked an extra point attempt that was returned for two points.
