On Tuesday evening, a man was cut during a fight at Second Street and Burton Avenue. He was taken by Acadian to St. Elizabeth and his injuries were not life-threatening.
Captain Enmon said investigators believe the man was hit in the face with a beer bottle because they found bloody pieces of a broken bottle nearby. However, the man, Darrian Jajuan Turk of Silsbee, did not want the police involved. Patrol Officer J. Kirkpatrick reported bystanders said they didn’t see anything.
Police said they went to the site about 7:30 p.m. after getting a call about a fight in progress. When they arrived, they saw Turk sitting on a curb covered in blood with cuts on his head.
