A man was shot in the thigh Thursday night, but Orange police didn’t find out about it until he went to an emergency clinic. Officers first went to the Park Manor Apartments at 10:53 p.m. because of a call about gunshots. No one was outside flagging officers and they could find no signs of a gun being fired.
Thirty minutes later, the clinic notified police of the gunshot wound victim. Detective Captain Robert Enmon said the man told police three masked men came to his apartment door in a robbery attempt. They ran away after the gun went off, he told police.
Captain Enmon said investigators think the shooting was an isolated event and not random. He said the victim is “somewhat cooperating” with the police investigation.
