
Malinda Diane Reese, 69, passed away on March 19, 2026. She was born on March 4, 1957.
Malinda was a longtime resident of Rose City before making her home in Pineland, Texas. She dedicated many years of her life working as a cafeteria worker at Pine Forest Elementary, where she was known for her kindness and warm spirit. She later retired from Brookeland Elementary, leaving behind many fond memories with students and coworkers alike.
She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, especially hunting and fishing, and she had a special talent for crocheting. Most of all, she treasured the time she spent with her family and loved ones.
Malinda is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, David Reese of Pineland, Texas. She is also survived by her siblings: Sue Burns of Houston, Texas; Sheila Tabor of Port Arthur, Texas; and William Peevey of Orange, Texas.
She leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews: Paul Michael Reese of Lindstrom, Minnesota; Amelia Seraiah of Georgetown, Indiana; Joseph Peevey, Eric Peevey, and Zack Peevey, all of Orange, Texas; Joseph Reese and Shannon Reese of Vidor, Texas; Sunny Reese of Lumberton, Texas; Tonja Miller of Vidor, Texas; BJ Miller of Fannett, Texas; Melinda Sue Watson of Vidor, Texas; and Jeremy Schoonfield and Josh Schoonfield.
Malinda will be remembered for her hardworking nature, her caring heart, and the love she shared with all who knew her.
