
Several softball games played Monday that were make-up games from Friday’s rain.
Bridge City beat Vidor 3-1 as Carson Fall was once again almost perfect with 19 strikeouts. She gave up two hits
Kyleigh Hamilton got things started for BC in the third reaching on a single. Nicole Sasser reached on an error. Haley Munoz hit a sac fly RBI to score Hamilton and Makenna Knight hit a ball to right field that was dropped, scoring Sasser to make it 2-0.
Hamilton would again be involved in the fourth when she singled in Lexi Nugier to make it 3-0.
Vidor would make it interesting in the seventh when Tylen Cassell doubles and then Sophia Aguirre singles to put runners at second and third. A bunt would score Cassell but Aguirre was thrown out to make it 3-1. Fall would strike out the next batter for the win. It was also a good game for Pirate pitcher Natalie Morrison who gave up one earned run on five hits, with one walk and seven strikeouts.

The Orangefield Lady Bobcats defeated the Warren Lady Warriors 17-0 in 5 innings.
Abigail Curphey pitched 3 innings giving up just 1 hit with 5 strikeouts. Charlee Sanches pitched 2 innings giving up 1 hit with 2 strikeouts.
The Lady Bobcats tallied 13 total hits. Charlee Sanches had 2 hits including a double, with 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored. Aubree Beck had 2 hits, including a triple, 2 walks, 2 runs scored and 2 RBIs. Paris Becker had 2 hits, including a double, a walk, 2 RBIs, and 3 runs scored. Abby Broussard had 2 singles and 2 RBIs, and a run scored. Curphey had a big night with 2 doubles and 2 RBIs. Audrey Sonnier had 2 runs scored. Hallee Becker added a single, a walk and a run scored. Greenlea Oldham had a single, a walk, and an RBI. Alysen Vincent had a single, a walk, and 2 runs scored. Paisley Reeves had a walk, a run scored, and an RBI. Brennah Lee had a walk and a run scored.
The Lady Bobcats improve to 16-7-1 overall and 4-1 in district play and will travel to Buna Tuesday with the JV beginning at 5 and varsity at 6:30.

Deweyville made quick work of High Island 15-0. Baylee Smith pitched a no hitter and struck out 11 in the win. She also went 3-4 with 3RBI’s. E Myers was 2-3 with 2RBI’s. The Pirates game was originally scheduled for 3-19-24.
