
Macksene Brown, 96, of Vidor, passed away on Tuesday, March 25th, 2025, at Collier Park Senior Living in Beaumont. A native of Salt Lake City, Utah, and a longtime resident of Vidor, Macksene dedicated her life to her faith and her family.
As a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Vidor, she found great joy in serving others and nurturing the bonds of family. A loving homemaker, her greatest happiness came from the time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her home was always filled with warmth, love, and laughter, and she leaves behind a legacy of kindness and faith.
Macksene is survived by her children: Bonnie Chadwick and husband Mel of Carrollton, TX; Stacey Brown and wife Melanie of Pearland, TX; Bruce Brown and wife Sherri of Vidor, TX; Charlene Ashworth and husband Thomas of Beaumont, TX; and Mack Brown of Ft. Worth, TX. She is also survived by her sister, Diana Edmonds of Salt Lake City, Utah, as well as an incredible family that includes 40 grandchildren, more than 100 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was welcomed into eternity by her husband, Freddie Brown, and her children, Freddie Brown Jr., George Brown, and Marty Johanson.
Macksene’s unwavering faith, selfless love, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as her influence lives on in the countless lives she touched.
