Lydia Ann Doucet, age 62, of Orange, Texas passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at her home surrounded by her devoted family. Lydia was born on January 25, 1958 in Toomey, Louisiana.
Lydia loved to read, fishing, camping, cooking, but especially loved her fur babies, Gracie, Jo Jo, Baby, Sweet Pea, and Taz. Lydia enjoyed sewing and playing bingo with her mother and aunt. Lydia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a sister who will be missed greatly.
Lydia was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Torrie Granger, her father, Albert East, her mother, Alice Breaux East, and her brother, Albert East II.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Frederick Doucet; daughter, Farrah Premeaux and husband, Chad; daughter, Donna Granger; daughter, Lydia Rodgers and husband, Kevin; son, Tanner Doucet; six grandchildren, Sarrah Meyers and husband, Justyn, Tarrah Premeaux and fiance, Michael Dupuy, Brittney Premeaux and fiance, Austin Johnson, LeAnn Rodgers, Cole Rodgers, and Braylee Rodgers; 5 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way; brothers, Royce East and wife, Susie, Leonard East and wife, Phyllis, Jerry East and wife, Irene, Robert East and wife, Charlotte, and Myron East; sisters, Sissy Abrego and husband, David, Laura Sutton, and Alice McClleland
Visitation will be held 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 6, 2020 at Hixson Funeral Home in Vinton. Visitation will resume at 10:00 a.m. until time of service on Saturday.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in Hixson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. David will officiate services. Burial will follow in East Cemetery in Vinton.
