A Vidor man was seriously injured when his motorcycle crashed Monday morning on US Highway 96 in Jasper County. Sergeant Stephanie Davis with the Texas Department of Public Safety reported that at about 11:00 AM David Holland, age 48, was driving his Suzuki motorcycle northbound on Highway 96 about two miles south of Buna. As he was traveling through an active construction zone for an unknown reason Holland and his motorcycle veered from the inside lane to the outside traffic lane and struck an unoccupied GMC flatbed pickup truck. Holland was ejected from his motorcycle. He was later transported by medical helicopter to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont with serious injuries. Holland was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
