46-year-old Dayton Wesley Greer of Bridge City was killed on Highway 69 in Beaumont Monday after he was hit by a pickup truck. Beaumont police are trying to determine whether he was attempting to cross the highway or was walking along the inside lane.
The accident was reported about 4 p.m. Monday south of Twin City Highway. Greer was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries and later died.
