Justice of the Peace Joy Dubose Simonton has ordered an autopsy for local businessman Sterlin Stringer, who died at the local emergency room after having a medical problem while riding a jet ski on the Sabine River Labor Day afternoon. Orange police and emergency medical responders went to the Boat Ramp off Simmons Drive about 5:30 p.m. Monday after Stringer was riding his jet ski with others when he passed out and rolled off of the watercraft. Stringer was taken by ambulance to Baptist Emergency Room. Stringer owned Show Gun Collision and Custom Car on Interstate 10.
