Around 4:15am Monday morning an 18 wheeler carry in a load of lumber caught fire after the brakes overheated. The rig came to a stop on I-10 westbound near mile marker 877.
The driver was able to disconnect his tractor and pull it away from the trailer before it caught fire. Orange firefighters were able to quickly extinguished the blaze before the trailer completely burned.
Traffic was down to one lane while the area was cleaned up.
