
Leroy Berry was born January 6th, 1928, in Boyce, LA to Alice Garrett Berry and Mack Berry.
His earthly life ended August 11th, 2021, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas.
He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized. He was educated in the Boyce School System.
Orange, Texas became his home in 1942. His church home was the Kingdom Fellowship Tabernacle.
In 1954 he married the love of his life, Frenzella (Fren) Hightower. To this union Barbara, Leesa, Leroy Jr., Lloyd, Alice, and Gabrielle were born.
A U.S. Army Veteran, he was “Discharged With Honors.”
Leroy worked for the Greyhound Bus Line for 31 years before retiring. He then joined Norman Enterprises where he worked another 20 plus years before retiring again for the last time.
He loved going fishing and watching or listening to baseball games. Most of all he loved being “Daddy” to his children and “Pawpaw” to his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Leroy was preceded in death by his mother and father, Alice and Mack Berry, wife Frenzella, son, Lloyd Berry and grandson, Terraine Box.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his children, Deborah Williams, Barbara Garrett, Leesa Berry, Leroy Berry, Jr. (Patricia), Alice Rose Joseph (Donald) and Gabriella LaShone Thomas (Richard), grandchildren Abdul Berry, Isureika Williams, Larnesha Garrett (Larry), Danielle Joseph, Leroydrion Berry (Melonee), Whitney Berry, Angelica Joseph, Travon McNeal (Vanessa), Avery McNeal, Jr., Iyana Berry and Donald Joseph, 11 great grandchildren, special friends Dave McClelland, Jesse Clark and Willie Bolivar, God-Children Claude Brown and Jerry and Brigette Williams and a host of relatives and friends.
