Leon Joseph “Bo-T” Cross was departed this life at home on March 18th, 2025, surrounded by my family.
Leon was born on January 9th, 1941, in Iowa, Louisiana to the Late Sidney Cross Sr. and Feleman Carrier. He was a Graduate of W.O. Boston in Lake Charles Louisiana. Leon moved to Orange Tx in 1969 where he began his career as a Loftman at Livingston Shipyard until it closed, he later worked in maintenance for the City of Orange Housing Authority until he retired.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Betty Lou Daugherty Cross, great granddaughter Rori Arline, great grandson Jeremiah Young, brothers Sidney Cross Jr, James Cross, and Henry Cross, sister Louanna Cross.
He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters -Judith Robertson of Long Beach, CA, Marissa Hudson (Tracy) of Lake Charles, LA and Robbie Daugherty-Young (David) of Orange, Tx. Son-Daryl Hopkins (Tiffany) of Beaumont, Tx. Sisters- Gertie Mae Charles of Lake Charles, LA and Mary Virgina Case of Fresno, Tx. Sister in-laws – Martha Locks and Tommy Reddix of Orange, TX and Melba Daugherty of Beaumont, Tx. Granddaughters – Tanishea Robertson, Dana Robertson, Adedtria Robertson, Kristina Hudson, Victoria Young and Harmony King. Grandsons-Roger Achum, Nicholas Young and Jayden Hopkins. Special nieces LaBarbara Locks and Ikesha Miller. Special nephews Jason Charles, Bryon Guillory, James Guillory and Roy Locks Jr. As well as a host of Great grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews.
Homegoing Celebration will be held Saturday March 29th , 2025 at Colonial Memorial Chapel. Visitation 10am – 11 am and Memorial Service from 11am -12pm
