
Leo J. Perry Jr. of Sequim, Washinton passed away on October 24, 2023, after complications of a long illness.
Leo was born in Orange, Texas on January 31, 1957, to Leo J. Perry Sr. and Laverne Wilkinson Perry. Leo was a member of the Little Cypress Baptist Church in Orange. He graduated from Little Cypress Mauriceville High School in 1975 and went on to work at Goodyear Chemical in Beaumont until his retirement.
Upon retirement, Leo wanted to be closer to his son Derrick Perry and granddaughter Meadow. Derrick was stationed with the Coast Guard at that time in Washington State. He moved to be closer to them. He was joined by his first wife Debra Sue Dryden, Derrick’s mom, and Meadow’s grandmother. Debra Sue was additionally Leo’s primary care giver we are grateful for her care and support.
Leo is preceded in death by his parents Leo J Perry Sr. and Laverne Perry.
Leo is survived by his first wife Debra Sue Dryden Perry, son Derrick Perry, granddaughter Meadow Perry, in the Sequim Washington area. Brother Dicky Perry, nephew Blake Perry (wife Cira) and family, and niece Megan Perry, all of Orange Texas. In addition, Leo is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that will continue to remember his life.
Leo requested to be cremated and his ashes spread over a beautiful waterfall in Washington state in a private gathering by immediate family.
