Saturday Round Rock Express pitcher Jake Lemoine picked up his second straight save in the last three games, striking out three in two innings of work.
The Bridge City native is 5-3 with two saves with a 3.22 ERA. He has 30 strikeouts in 36 innings pitched. He has seen action as both a starter and reliever.
Is this the year Jake Lemoine gets a call to the show? I don’t have a lot of inside info on this question I just think he’s due for the opportunity.
The 27 year old has worked his way through the ranks. After starring at Bridge City, Lemoine went on to have a solid career at the University of Houston. He was drafted in the fourth round by the Texas Rangers in 2015. He made his pro debut in 2017 after rotator cuff surgery and has pitched his way up to AAA Round Rock.
The Rangers are going no where this year, currently sitting in last place in the American League West with a 38-67 record. So why not give him his shot? Hopefully the call will come.
