The LCM Band competed in the Region UIL Solo & Ensemble Competition. There were 4 soloists and 12 ensemble members who received a First Division.
The soloists are Karlee Cooksey, Ryder Clausen, Wayne Picklesimer, Landen Ward.
Special recognition to Wayne Picklesimer and Landen Ward, who performed their solos from memory, which qualifies them for the Texas State Solo & Ensemble Competition in May.
Congratulations to the following small ensembles, who also earned a first division rating and qualified for the Texas State Solo and Ensemble Competition.
Trombone Trio – Preston Ewing, Zelda Cowan, and Macalynne Steele
Trumpet Quartet – Jacob Bland, Gabe Chisum, Elliot Fregia, and Brett Smith
Brass Quintet – Grant Loupe, Odes Gordon, Logan Frazier, Wayne Picklesimer, and Henry Welch
