For more than 40 years, a 22 story building in Lake Charles has been a landmark. It has had several names over the years, including the tallest building in Lake Charles. No more.
The building was imploded at 8 a.m. Saturday morning by Lloyd D. Nabors Demolition.
The building has been an eyesore to the city, since it was heavily damaged during the 2020 hurricanes. It became a symbol of the destruction of Hurricane Laura, and has been vacant and unusable since.
