The Lady Bears punched their ticket to the regional tournament and sent Sealy home on Friday night in Crosby with a 3-0 win! After a tough first half battle, the Lady Bears proved too much for the Lady Tigers to handle as they scored three unanswered in the second half. Shayne Pannell collected the clean sheet on the night and a strong defensive effort led by Mallory Russell, Kinsey Dryden, Sydney Guidry, Mallory Dollar, Sarah Hormell, Jada Montagne, and Maddie McConnell kept the Tigers at bay. Annabelle Fisher, Taylor Bull, Mariah Ammons, and Maya Meadows kept constant pressure on the Tiger defense and were successful in their effort to find the back of the net. Maya Meadows assisted Belle Fisher for the first goal of the night. Taylor Bull answered with a goal of her own. Fisher finished the scoring for the Bears on a penalty kick. This brought the stats to Belle Fisher with two goals, Taylor Bull with one goal, and Maya Meadows with an assist. The Lady Bears will travel to Legacy Stadium in Katy on Friday to face the Lorena Lady Leopards at 11am.
