The Huffman Falcons beat the LCM Lady Bears 7-0 Thursday in Bridge City to sweep the best of three series.
Three two-run homers, one in the second and two in the third put Huffman up 6-0 and then they scored another run on a wild pitch after a triple to seal the Bears fate.
Pitcher Christin Haygood didn’t have the gaudy numbers she had in the 4-1 win in Game One, but it was her defense that backed her with 18 outs. The Bears had six hits, three by Karson Friar, two by Cami Shugart and one by Ansley Moore. LCM would leave eight on base.
LCM ends the season 25-10-1 and Huffman improves to 28-10 and will play the winner between Smithville and lake Belton.
