Born in Orange, Texas, on June 28, 1979, she was the daughter of Richard Duhon and Cheryl Lynn (Chapman) Duhon. Kristi was known for her warmth and generosity, often being awarded the title of “Best Aunt.” She had a talent for making every family gathering a joy; she was always there, no matter what, making her family feel cherished and loved. Being the classic middle child, she had a spirited personality, often described as “Contrary as can be.” Kristi was not one to keep secrets. Her interests were as vibrant as her personality. Kristi had a deep love for purses, enjoyed going on cruises, and looked forward to the Renaissance Festival. Her affinity for sunflowers reflected her bright and cheerful disposition. She was a regular at LCM Football games, where she enjoyed both the excitement of the game and the camaraderie of her friends and family. She worked for LCMCISD in the Maintenance Department for 18 years. Kristi was a proud member of the First Baptist Church in Orange, where she was very involved and devoted to volunteering her time. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she served her community with passion and kindness. Kristi leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and devotion to her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A special thank you to her work family for all the years of friendship and company they gave her at LCMCISD for 18 years.
