John Kimbrough came to Orange County with a plan to stay here a few years before moving back home to the San Antonio area to continue practicing law. Now he’s retiring as the Orange County District Attorney after 32 years on the job.
A career that long doesn’t come without some good stories and some interesting cases.
Kimbrough says Orange County has been good to him. But John and his wife Kelly will be moving to the Hill Country to be closer to their two boys.
On the side, he was a long time football referee in the area and he spent the last 20 years calling games with me in the broadcast booth for KOGT. In our final podcast for 2024, we sat down and talked about it on Behind the Mic with Gary Stelly.
