Keith Payne Carter, Sr., 54, of Orange, Texas, passed away at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, December 30, 2017. Funeral service, under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home, will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 5, 2018, at the North Orange Pentecostal Church; Preacher Jeff Trahan of the Memorial Church of Christ will be officiating. Rite of Committal and Interment will immediately follow at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park. Visitation of family and friends will be held on from 5:00 PM- 8:00 PM, at the North Orange Pentecostal Church, on Thursday, January 4, 2018.
Keith was born on Saturday, December 21, 1963, in Norfolk, Virginia, to parents Patsy (Payne) and Woodrow Carter, Sr. During his childhood, Keith enjoyed traveling with his family. As an adult, Keith settled in Orange, Texas, where he met his wife, love of his life of 15 years, Brandi (Burgess) Carter; together they raised three beautiful daughters. Keith worked as a Special Projects Coordinator for BASF, for over 13 years. He was very talented with technology and especially enjoyed working with, and restoring, computers. Keith was a husband, son, father, and grandfather, who will be missed by all who knew him.
Preceding Keith in death is his father, Woodrow Carter, Sr.
Those who will cherish his memory most are his wife, Brandi Carter, of Orange, Texas; mother, Patsy Carter; sons, Keith Carter, Jr. of Orange, Texas, and Evan Carter of Kountze, Texas; daughters, Cara Carter, Ashley Carter, Kaliegh Carter, Kamryn Carter, Kinslei Carter, and Brooklyn Carter, all of Orange, Texas; brothers, Scott Carter, Lance Carter, Logan Carter, and Lando Carter; grandchildren, Cheyenne, Jaxon, Kyler, and Kaileb; and numerous members of extended family , and friends.
