Katherine Campbell Karr, age 62, passed away October 9, 2017 in Spring, Texas. Kathy was born in Orange, Texas to Jay and Rose Campbell on June 7, 1955. She graduated from Bridge City High School in 1974. After graduation, she attended Lamar University in Beaumont and studied Criminology. Kathy and Rogers Karr were married on December 18, 1976 in Orangefield, Texas. Kathy was a devoted wife and mother living in Maryland, Germany, and Louisiana while Rogers was serving on active duty with the US Army.
She began Christian ministry while living in Brownwood Texas where she served as the Director of Religious Education at St. Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Brownwood, Texas. She then served as Youth Minister at Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Community in Katy, Texas followed by service as the Youth Minister at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in Hempstead, Texas.
Kathy was a licensed Day Care Director where she taught and administrated several day care facilities in the Spring area. She then transitioned into teaching 1st and 2nd grade is several private Christian Schools again pouring her love of Christ into the lives of young children.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Jay and Rose Campbell of Orange, Texas. She is survived by her husband Rogers Karr, her daughter and son-in-law, Misty (Morawski) and Ken Kibodeaux of Orange, Texas, her son and daughter-in-law, Nathan and Robbie Karr of Spring, Texas and her grandchildren and great grandchildren: Tyler Morawski, his daughter Neveah and her mother Brianna Hennen; Ashlea Morawski, her son Carson and his father Rusty Herrington; Brandon Morawski; Ely Karr; Daisy Karr; and Alexa Kibodeaux. Kathy is also survived by her brother and his wife, Joey and Mel Campbell of Bridge City, Texas and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
A public visitation will be held Thursday, October 12 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm followed by a Rosary Service at Addison Funeral Home 18630 Kuykendahl Road, Spring, Texas. A public memorial service will be held Friday, October 13 at 10:00 am at Northside Christian Church, 20250 Kuykendahl Road, Spring, Texas. Graveside service and interment will be Friday, October 13 at 3:00 pm at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 4560 Highway 87 South, Orange, Texas.
