Juanita Francis Hogge, 99, of Vidor, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 7th, 2024, at her residence. A native of Beaumont, Texas, Juanita spent her life in Southeast Texas, with Vidor as her longtime home.
Juanita worked as a dedicated clerk at Orchid Cleaners for 38 years, where she took pride in her work and enjoyed the friendships she built along the way. She was a cherished member of Maplecrest Baptist Church, finding joy in her faith and fellowship with her church family.
Known for her warm smile and loving nature, Juanita cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the lights of her life. She loved visiting the beach, feeling the sand between her toes and the sea breeze on her face. A true animal lover, Juanita adored her cats and dogs, often taking in strays and providing them with a loving home. Her warmth, kindness, and laughter left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her.
Juanita is survived by her son, Rick Hogge and his wife Doris of Vidor, TX; her sister Jeanette Tutor of Tyler, TX; her granddaughter Dianna Davis and her husband Doug of Beaumont, TX; her beloved great-granddaughter Logan Davis and great-grandson Kolton Davis, and numerous nieces and nephews who remember her fondly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Hogge Jr.; her son, Stephen Craig Hogge; her grandson, Darrel Wayne Hogge; and her siblings Mary Ellen Sutton, Bert Gene LeLeux, Margaret Hagler, Ella Rose Koonce, Frank Pineda Jr., and James Hefner.
Juanita’s family and friends will miss her deeply, but her legacy of kindness, faith, and love will live on in their hearts forever.
