
Joyce Elaine Stansbury, 78, of Orange, Texas, passed away on August 30, 2025, at home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Pastor Larry Haynes. Burial will follow at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park Cemetery in Orange.
Visitation will begin prior to the service at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Orange, Texas, on August 15, 1947, she was the daughter of Herbert Pike and Esther (Peco) Pike. She was a dedicated homemaker who poured her love and energy into her family and her home. Joyce thoroughly enjoyed cooking and often shared her delicious meals with family and friends. She had a talent for sewing and crochet, finding joy in creating beautiful pieces that were cherished by loved ones. She also had a green thumb and loved working in her flower garden, nurturing vibrant blooms that brought beauty to her surroundings. Music was another passion of hers, providing a soundtrack to the many joyful moments in her life. One of her proudest accomplishments was being Nannie to her grandchildren. She cherished her role and created lasting memories with them that they will carry in their hearts forever. Joyce will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the love she shared with everyone around her. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Esther Pike; and grandparents. William and Elizabeth Pike, and Lloyd and Laura Peco.
She is survived by her loving husband since 1968, James Stansbury; daughters, Roxanne Cortez and husband Rick, and Courtney Stansbury; grandchildren, Monica Cortez and Joey Cortez; brothers, Dale Pike and wife Wanda, and Ross Pike.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Pike, Joey Cortez, Rick Cortez, Jim Murray, Trey Berryman and Jared Banken.
