Joyce Ann Meads, age 81, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, April 2, 2018 in Orange, Texas. A memorial service to celebrate Joyce’s life will be held at 6:30 PM on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Wesley United Methodist Church, 401 N 37th Orange, Texas 77630.
Joyce was born in Orange, Texas on November 17, 1936 to Lela Mae Lee and Albert J. Mouton. She worked many years as CNA and later became the activities director for the senior center in Round Rock, TX before she retired. Joyce had a passion for sewing and loved eating out with her family and friends. Joyce was a “people person” that always could be found laughing and smiling. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers; Albert Mouton, JC Mouton, Cloyd Mouton and Robert “Bob” Mouton. Three sisters; Betty Joe Davenport, Lela Faye Dallas and Martha Ann Mouton.
Those left to cherish Joyce’s memory are her three children; Kevin Meads and his wife Sharon of Orange, TX, Lance Meads and his wife Stephanie of Livingston, TX and Vicky Tackett and her husband Kyle of Orange, TX. Seven grandchildren; Ethan Meads, MaKenna Meads, Linsey Tackett, Lacey Tackett, Sybil Meads, Syan Meads and Jaden Meads.
Joyce was a warm and wonderful lady. My deepest sympathies to her family. She will be missed.
