Joy “Kathy” Kathleen Hailey, 76, of Vidor, passed away Tuesday, November 25th, 2025 at her home. Born in Beaumont, TX, she was a longtime resident of Vidor and a devoted member of Pine Forest Pentecostal Church.
Kathy spent many years serving others as a Medical Aid at Green Acres and UTMB, as well as the Mark Stiles and LeBlanc Units. She was known for her skill as a seamstress and for the joy she found in baking—her favorite pastime and one she lovingly shared with family and friends.
Kathy is survived by her children, Don Allen Dalton Jr. and fiancée Cory of Austin, TX; Kent Lee Dalton of Katy, TX; and Penny Nicole Dalton of Vidor, TX. She is also survived by her siblings, Shirley Lancon of Vidor, TX; Lloyd Fore of Sour Lake, TX; Cindy Sumrall of Vidor, TX; and Clifford Sumrall of Vidor, TX.
She leaves behind five grandchildren—Ethan, Dax, Brianna, Savannah, and Leeanna—and two great-grandchildren, Robert and Conner, all of whom brought tremendous joy to her life.
Kathy will be remembered for her kindness, her generosity, and the warmth she brought into every room. Her love for her family and her faith will continue to inspire all who knew her.
