Joshua was born in Beaumont, Texas, on July 5, 1997. He was a 2015 graduate of Orangefield High School and a member of The Mormon Church of Beaumont. Joshua was a kind soul who never met a stranger and loved to make people laugh. He enjoyed listening to all kinds of music, singing, playing video games, writing poems, and taking long walks. He couldn’t help but always smile when he was in the presence of animals and babies. Joshua loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his loving Nana, Veronica Braddock; grandfather, Charles Clegg; and grandmother, Theresa Clegg.
Joshua is survived by his parents, Amber Clegg, Christi Perez, and Jose Perez, all of Mauriceville; and family, Jadee Perez, John Thomas Perez, Avery Clark, Veronica Clark, Brianna Teague, Justine Clegg, John and Amy Stanphill, William Ferguson, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and his best friend, Colburn Kelley, along with his teachers from Mauriceville Elementary, Mauriceville Middle School, and Orangefield High School who meant so much to him.
Serving as pallbearers will be Damian Gomez, Juan Perez, G.G. Gomez, Robin Clark, J. Perez, and Alejandro Chairez. Honorary pallbearer is Colburn Kelley.
What a tragedy to lose Josh so soon. He was a sweet young man. Our sympathies to his family.
Prayers for the family. I completely understand your loss of a precious son. Whatever the reason for his death know that he is with his Lord and Savior. I lost my 18 year old daughter in 2004 and there is never a day that she is not in my thoughts. May God bless you.
