Joshua Bland, age 77 of Deweyville, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, April 1, 2020. His family will be having a private graveside service at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park.
Joshua was born at home on Jack’s Island, Orange, Texas on July 23, 1942 to Ruby Lee Mitchell Bland and James Tracy Bland. Joshua was exceptionally skilled at working with his hands, and had been a carpenter his entire life. During his younger years he enjoyed fishing. Joshua loved and was loved by his big family; he will be greatly missed by all.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Ruby Bland, and siblings; Pamela Bland, Jerry Bland and James Bland.
Joshua is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Sandra Sue Bland, his sister Sharon Ellis & Johnny, his nine children; Elizabeth Ann Bland Wilson, Joshua Bryon Bland & Robyn, James Jodie Mack Bland & Glenda, David Joshua Bland, Christopher Elias Bland & Missi, Martha Jane Bland-Guzman, Joshua Bland Jr. & Natalie, Kevin Wayne Bland and Susan Marie Bland. He is also survived by his twenty three grandchildren and twenty three great grandchildren.
