Joseph Walter LeBlanc, age 83, of Orangefield, Texas, went to be with our Lord on July 21, 2020, surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be held at Dorman Funeral Home on Friday, July 24, 2020, at 12:00 PM, with visitation being held from 10:00 AM until service time. Rite of Committal and Interment will immediately follow services at Hillcrest Cemetery in Orange, Texas.
Joseph “J.W.” LeBlanc was born in Bridge City, Texas on Thursday, July 29, 1937 to parents, Hortense (Bergeron) and Levesti LeBlanc. Joseph was a longtime resident of Orangefield, Texas where he was known and loved by many. He served in the United States Air Force from 1955 until 1957. He was also a member of the Laborer’s Union for 33 years. On November 14, 1959, J.W. married the love of his life, Jo Ann Laviolette, in Cecilia, Louisiana. J.W. loved his family and always made them his number one priority. In his spare time, J.W. loved to go hunting and fishing.
J.W. was a loving son, father, brother and grandfather and wonderful friend, who will forever be loved and missed by all who knew him.
J.W. is preceded in death by his parents, Levesti and Hortense LeBlanc; brothers, J.C. LeBlanc and Jesse Ray LeBlanc; sisters, Leona LeBlanc, Dorothy LeBlanc Anglin and Rose Mae LeBlanc McGowan.
Left to treasure his memory is his loving wife of 60 years, Jo Ann LeBlanc; children, Jackie LeBlanc Frederick of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Jeffrey LeBlanc of Orangefield, Texas and Jay B. LeBlanc (Pam) of South Toledo Bend, Texas; brother, Levesti “Mann” LeBlanc (Catherine) of Bridge City, Texas; sisters, Margaret LeBlanc Saucier (Butch) of Orange, Texas; grandchildren, Joshua LeBlanc, Colleen Bellair Koci (Scott), Austin Bellair (Brittany), Amber Bellair, Nicole LeBlanc Fant (Patrick), Chelsea Bellair Lute (Mike) and Matthew Frederick; 9 Great Grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be, Austin Bellair, Colin LeBlanc, Matthew Frederick, Gavin Perry-Koci, Devin Perry-Koci and Scott Koci.
The family would like to thank the staff of Christus St. Elizabeth Intensive Care Unit for their kindness and support.
