The Celebration of Life for Mr. Joseph M. Adams, 86, of Orange, will be Saturday, October 8, 2022, at 11am at Sparrow Funeral Home.
Rites of Christian Burial will follow at Hollywood Community Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 until 11am.
Joseph Minnor Adams was born March 10, 1936, in New Iberia, LA to Anna (Antoine) Adams and Walter Adams.
Residing in Orange 55 years, he attended St. Therese Catholic Church.
After 27 years, he retired as a painter for the former Levingston Shipyard.
An avid sports fan, he loved the Houston Astros and the Dallas Cowboys. He also enjoyed playing scratch offs.
He is survived by five sons, Wilbert Adams (Mamie), Jerry Geter (Linda), Terry Adams and Jay Adams (Janice) all of Orange and Tommy Geter (Kathy) of Lake Charles, LA, two daughters, Paula Adams and Evita Ballard, both of Orange, four sisters, Dora Adams, Gladys Batiste and Hilda Polk all of Lafayette, LA and Gracie Doucet of Jeanerette, LA and a host of grandchildren.
