
Named the new baseball coach at West Orange-Stark last summer, Craig Jones is leaving the team before coaching his first game.
Jones was named the new head football coach at Kirbyville High School after applying for the job a few weeks ago. Kirbyville was familiar with Jones. He was the assistant baseball coach of the Wildcats before joining the Mustangs. But this will be his first head coaching job in football.
Assistant Coach Ryan Pickering, who was also an assistant under former head coach Shea Landry, will take over the Mustangs. WOS is scheduled to scrimmage Memorial Feb. 13.
