Orange police Tuesday night arrested a man with bolt cutters in his pocket near a cut fence at Tractor Supply on Interstate 10. Captain Robert Enmon reported a burglar alarm sounded at 11:19 p.m. and officers went to the store. The captain saw a man walking in the parking lot and the man told him he was walking to a nearby hotel. That’s when Lieutenant J.E. Davis came up and handcuffed the man. Enmon said Davis found a hole cut in the security fence where gas-powered tools were stored. Police found a $400 tiller had been dragged across the parking lot. Enmon said the man had bolt cutters in his pocket. 48-year-old Robert Dale Johnson of Orange was arrested for burglary and taken to the Orange County Jail.
