Johnny Paul Ray, 53, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on February 7, 2025, in Beaumont.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
Born in Orange, Texas, on November 24, 1971, he was the son of Paul Ray and Shirley Sellers. Johnny made a name for himself as a skilled boat motor mechanic, a career that reflected not only his technical abilities but also his love for the outdoors. Beyond his career, Johnny was a man of many interests. He found joy in the beauty of nature and frequently engaged in fishing, hunting, and boating. These activities provided him with much-needed relaxation and adventure, allowing him to connect deeply with the great outdoors. Johnny also brought his love for cooking to life, delighting family and friends with his delicious meals. He valued these moments, creating memories that will remain in the hearts of those he loved. A true friend to many, Johnny enjoyed spending time with his buddies, especially while watching NASCAR. Johnny Paul Ray will be remembered for his warmth, dedication, and deep love of his family and friends. His legacy will continue to shine through the countless relationships he fostered and the joy he brought to those fortunate enough to know him.
He is preceded in death by his son, Eddie Ray; his father, Paul Ray; his grandparents, Lloyd and Sybil Ray; and his wife, Lorinda Ray.
He is survived by his mother, Shirley Sellers; his daughters, Karly Ray, and Kaylee Ray; his son, Brayden Ray; his sisters, Julie Kennedy, and Kelli Sellers; and his nephews, Joshua Kennedy, Jacob Brown, and Luke Daniels; along with numerous other loving family and friends.
