Johnny Lee Berry, 90, was born September 9, 1932, and passed away December 15, 2022. He served in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed fishing and building RC cars, planes, and boats. Johnny was the founder of the Starks Athletic Booster Club and took part in the Sherriff’s league baseball and softball. Johnny loved to be with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, John Berry and wife, Leslie, Joe Berry and wife, Jackie, Jimmy Berry and wife, Erica, and Jill Berry; grandchildren, Matthew, Candace, Jodi, Zane, Trace, Jessica, Lance, Jade, and Josie; great grandchildren, Ava, Isaiah, Elijah, Anderson, Abram, Noah, Kendall, Griffin, Kylin, and one on the way.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Rae Berry; parents, Ebb and Doney Berry; and siblings, Carl Berry, Lucille Bickham, Bill Berry, Varrece Berry, Vannie Berry, and Leona Husband.
Family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 19, 2022, at First Baptist Church in Starks, Louisiana. Visitation will continue from 9:00 – 10:00 with the funeral service starting at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at First Baptist Church in Starks, Louisiana. Pastor Ron Butler will be officiating. Interment to follow at Miller Cemetery, Starks, Louisiana.
