Johnny Dale Humberson Jr., 61, of Tyler, Texas, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at Hospice of East Texas. Johnny was a longtime resident of Tyler and was raised in Vidor, where he built many lifelong friendships and memories. He was known for his love of fishing, his gift for storytelling, and his unwavering loyalty as a Dallas Cowboys football fan. Johnny had a way of bringing people together with his stories and sense of humor, and he will be remembered for the joy he brought to those around him.
He is survived by his mother, Cheryl McCoy; his grandmother, Bernice McCoy; his daughters, Lauren Humberson-Stuckey, Alyssa Humberson, and Brooke Humberson; his siblings, Mark Humberson, Rex Humberson, Benjie Humberson, Darlene Tavenner, Sheri Nick Perry, and Daniel Nick; and his grandchildren, Cade Cover, Kynleigh Humberson, and Kolt Mitchell. He also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews who will cherish his memory.
Johnny will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
