Joey Floyd Hebert, 65, of Bridge City, passed away on November 21, 2020, in Beaumont, after a short battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 28, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be George Cruse. Burial will follow at Wilkinson Cemetery in Orange.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Orange, Texas on April 26, 1955, he was the son of James Floyd Hebert and Evila “Taffy” (Cowan) Hebert. Joey was a bail bondsman for many years but also worked as a milkman, steel worker, and substance abuse counselor. He was known for his infectious laugh, being a jokester, and was always the life of the party. Joey put 110% effort into his projects and was always up for a good challenge. He was an avid fisherman who loved playing the guitar and listening to music. Joey was also known as “Papa Joe” to his grandbabies and was the best husband, father, son, brother, and friend anyone could ask for. He left an impact on many lives and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Floyd Hebert; and sister, Jennifer Hebert.
He is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Lori Hoggins; mother Taffy Hebert; children, Joey Hebert and wife Brooke of Bridge City and Andrea Cole and husband Clayton also of Bridge City; step children, Eric Hoggins of Beaumont and Kiley Guy and husband Chris also of Beaumont; grandchildren, Trey Hebert, Rayburn Hebert, Falcon Cole, Seven Harrison, Sutton Guy, Silas Guy, Sloan Guy, and Kyndall Harrison; siblings, Pamela Webb of Bridge City, Patti Holbrooks and husband Butch also of Bridge City, and Janet Rogers and husband Damon of Orangefield; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be James Holbrooks, Joey Platt, Clayton Harrison, Donnie Mulhollan, RJ Gardner, and Rocky Coward.
