
Jimmy Lee Henry was born October 6, 1941, and passed away September 6, 2025, at the age of 83.
Jimmy was a family man in every sense of the word. He was a devoted husband of 67 years and a loving father, always putting his family first. He created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and love. His patience, wisdom, and sense of humor were qualities that made him the rock of his family, someone they could always count on.
He loved nothing more than spending time outdoors. He was an avid fisherman, spending countless hours by the water, casting his line and enjoying the peace of nature. He also had a passion for camping, gardening, and grilling, making every trip to the lake or backyard a special occasion. Whether he was tending to his garden or flipping burgers on the grill, Jimmy found joy in the simple moments, and his infectious laughter and warm smile were ever-present.
He was skilled lineman, he spent many years bringing light to homes and businesses, often going above and beyond to ensure that his clients were well taken care of. He was well liked by his co-workers. His work was not just a job, it was a reflection of his craftsmanship and his commitment to doing things right.
He was survived by wife Glenda Henry; children, Ramona Razien and husband Charles, Paula Wise and husband Wayne, Jimmy Henry Jr. and wife Amy, and Danny Henry and wife Kay; Grandchildren, Justin Farmer, Kensi Dickerson and husband DJ, Austin Wise and wife Erika, Brooke Castino and husband AP, Balyor Henry and wife Ginnyann, Hope Anderson and husband Justin, Brandon Landry and wife Shelley, Ashton Landry, Amber LeDoux, Denee’ LeDoux and Shelby Henry; and 17 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Madie Henry; siblings Ray Longron, and Kenneth Henry.
Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m., Friday, September 12, 2025, at Dorman-Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 8808 Highway 87 North Orange, Texas. Mr. Wayne Wise wil be officiating. Interment to follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery, 2312 Irving Street West Orange, Texas
