On Monday, August 5, 1946, Jerry was born to Lorine (Henry) Wilson and Alvin Wilson, in Orange, Texas. Before JW was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, his childhood was filled with excitement on the bayou with his best friend, Rusty, the German shepherd. Life on the bayou consisted of bringing home pet alligators. As a young man JW began work at the Livingston Shipyard and retired from a lifelong career at DuPont, as an instrument tech, where he made many lifelong friends. His hobbies were enjoyed alone and alongside all his family: reading, woodworking, gardening and fishing, coin collecting, and feeding anyone who would eat. JW was a loving, determined, and hard headed problem solver, who met a friend in everyone, who had the privilege to know him.
Jerry is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rose Bell Wilson; parents, Alvin and Lorine Wilson; sister, Annabel Wilson Wheatley; and sister-in-law, Wanda Jean Wilson.
