Jerry Franklin Brown, age 60, of Deweyville, Texas, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at his residence. A funeral service honoring Jerry will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Dorman Funeral Home. Reverend Damon Bickham, officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow services at Deweyville Cemetery.
Jerry was born Tuesday, March 23, 1965, to proud parents Jearald and Patricia Brown, in Orange, Texas. He was a kind hearted simple man that never asked for anything from others and gave his all to everyone. He loved watching the Dallas Cowboys play football and loved to BBQ. He set an excellent example to his kids by always working hard; his words to his kids “go to work” will be remembered with fondness and love. Jerry had a quick sense of humor and that smile will be remembered and held deeply in the hearts of all that knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Jearald and Patricia brown; Wife, Melissa Ann Brown; sons, Jason and wife Heather and Jerry Jr. and wife Hevyn; brothers, Patrick and Michelle and Joseph and Lorrie; and sister, Jenell Fears and many other family members and friends.
Pallbearers honoring Jerry will be Jeridan Brooks, Jerod Stephenson, Patrick Brooks, Jacob Norman, Clint Gullory and Jason Brown. Honorary Pallbearer will be Jerry Brown Jr.
