Jerry Floyd Working age 64 of Orange, Texas went to be with his Lord and Savior July 3, 2017 in Houston, Texas with his loving Fiancée by his side. A Memorial service will be held to celebrate Jerry’s life on July 15,2017 at 3:00 at Trinity Baptist Church in Orange, Texas. Jerry was born in Spokane, Washington on March 3, 1953 to Kenneth Lisle Working and Dorothy Mae Working. Jerry graduated from Lynden High School in 1971, and then enlisted in the United States Coast Guard. He served from October 1971 to January 1975, with most of his time spent on the Gulf Coast. After an honorable discharge, Jerry worked as an electrician and in the Geophysical Exploration Industry across the world. Eventually, he returned to Orange, Texas and worked as the range manager at Southeast Texas Sportsman Club until May 2017. He had a love of fishing and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycles. Jerry rarely passed up the chance to enjoy God’s creative handy work and “Have the wind in his face”. He was a kind, gentle and loving man who never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone in need. Jerry became a member of Trinity Baptist Church and was baptized February, 2017. He enjoyed his church and growing as a Christian as he experienced a closer walk with his Lord Jesus Christ. He is preceded in death by, his parents and an infant son, Kevin Lloyd Working.
He is survived by his loving fiancé, Cathy Wilson of Orange, Texas; sister Starr Working Craig of Oregon; daughters April Working Sosa and spouse, Rafael of Baytown, Texas, Lexie Gibson of Buna, Texas, Lillie Belcher of Orange, Texas; sons Joshua Working of Orange, Texas; Lamar Belcher and spouse Lenzi, of Bridge City, Texas; niece Dianne Heezen Carrillo Madrid; nephew Chad Heezen; nine grandchildren Nicholas, Kutter, McKayla Sosa, Karma, Bentley, Thomas Ryder Working, Rocky Morgan, Wyatt Belcher, Trevor Kimbell and a multitude of friends he met throughout his travels.
