
The Bridge City Cardinals won a close one on the road, defeating Orangefield Tuesday night 40-37 in a game broadcast on KOGT. BC took the first quarter lead before OF battled back to take a 21-18 lead at the half. But the Bobcats went cold in the third quarter, scoring only four points while Max Baker hit two 3’s in the third to give BC the lead. Made free throws in the fourth (BC 6-12; OF 1-2) gave the Cards the win and a 2-2 mark in district. OF fell to 0-4. Justyn Romero and Dan Piper each scored 8 to lead BC. Alex Catt and Caleb Kress scored 11 apiece for OF.

LCM whipped Hamshire-Fannett 98-46 as six Bears finished in double figures. Jordan Garcia had 16, Ayson Simmons 13, Katon Brown 12 and 14 boards, Braden Bridges and Keegan Sonnier added 11 and Christian Weatherly 10. The Bears improve to 3-1 and travel to WOS Friday.

Deweyville (2-1) defeated Hull-Daisetta 76-54. Caden Hubbard had the rare triple double with 18 pts, 16 rebounds, and 10 assists. Caleb Winkle had 18 and 10. Nate Buxton also scored 16.

Skylar Matson with 3 points, 8 rebounds, and 9 steals. For BC (2-4) Maysen Tyler with 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 6 points: Rylee Oceguera with 8 points: Kassidy Wilbur with 5 rebounds, 3 assist, and 9 points.
