Janice Marie Nunez, age 76, of Orange, Texas, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2025, in Bridge City, Texas. Services will be at 10:00 AM, on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at the Orangefield United Pentecostal Church; Pastor Weir officiating. Rite of committal and interment will begin at 1:00 PM, at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation of family and friends will be held one hour prior to services. Arrangements were made under the care of Dorman Funeral Home.
On Friday, May 14, 1948, Janice was born to Edna M. (Ravey) Smith and Melvin J. Smith, in Orange, Texas. Janice loved her family. She especially wanted to be a good mom to her kids. She tried to attend as many events as she could. She also loved her church and enjoyed the fellowship she had with other members. She was a very giving person and wanted to take care of anyone who needed help. She will be missed by everyone she came in contact with.
Janice is preceded in death by her above mentioned parents, her husband; Eddie Joe Nunez, her son; Jack Daniel Wagner III, her sisters; Sharon Ann Smith and Cindy K. Smith, and her brother Timothy Wayne Smith.
Those left to cherish Janice’s memory are her brothers; Melvin J. Smith Jr. and Terry Wayne Smith, her son; James Carlton Gibbs, her daughters; Naomi Faye Harris, LaShurn Marie Waggoner and Hiedi O Waggoner, her grandkids; Christopher Harris, Derrick McCallum, LaTosha Richard, Carl Wiley Jr., CarMichael Wiley, Carlton Wiley, Tyrone Waggoner(Wiley), JC Gibbs, T. Ron Gibbs, Veltress Gibbs, Cody Gibbs, and Haley Waggoner; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Honoring Janice as pallbearers are; JC Gibbs, Chris Harris, Derrick McCallum, Carl Wiley Jr., Tyrone Waggoner(Wiley) and CarMichael Wiley.
